About CorralWorks Consulting

Waste Consulting Built From the Driver's Seat.

CorralWorks Consulting was founded by Matthew Nichols after more than a decade working inside the waste collection industry—not studying it from the outside. Commercial routes. Residential service. Roll-off. Transfer operations. Different trucks, different properties, different problems—and thousands of hours learning what actually works when a waste truck arrives on site.

“I built CorralWorks around a simple idea: before you design, build, repair, or pay for a waste system, somebody should look at it from the perspective of the people and equipment that actually have to service it.”

Experience Where It Matters

More Than a Decade Inside the Waste Business

Matthew Nichols has spent more than 10 years working in waste collection across commercial, residential, roll-off, and transfer operations.

That distinction matters. Waste collection is not one job and every property does not create the same operating problem. Servicing a commercial front-load container requires a different understanding of access, clearance and positioning than residential collection. Roll-off work introduces its own space requirements, container movement and approach considerations. Transfer operations provide another view of how material moves through the waste system.

Working across those lines of business gave Matthew something that cannot be learned from a specification sheet alone: an operational understanding of how waste equipment, drivers, containers and properties interact in the real world.

CorralWorks exists to bring that field experience to property managers, developers, architects, contractors and commercial property owners before expensive problems become permanent ones.

Hands-On Industry Experience

One Industry. Very Different Operating Realities.

CorralWorks brings experience from multiple sides of the waste collection business to every site evaluation.

C

Commercial

Firsthand experience servicing commercial properties, dumpster enclosures and front-load collection environments where approach geometry and container placement directly affect serviceability.

R

Residential

Experience with residential collection where vehicle positioning, traffic, access, route efficiency and safe collection all have to work together.

RO

Roll-Off

Hands-on familiarity with roll-off operations and the additional space, access and container-placement requirements created by large containers and specialized equipment.

T

Transfer

Transfer experience provides a broader understanding of the waste stream beyond the individual pickup—from collection through movement and handling within the waste system.

Why Field Experience Matters

A Drawing Can Look Perfect and Still Fail at 5:30 Monday Morning.

Waste-service problems usually become obvious only after the building is finished, the pavement is down and the collection truck actually arrives.

  • Can the truck make the approach without excessive maneuvering?
  • Can the driver properly square up to the container?
  • Is there enough usable gate width—not just nominal width?
  • Do bollards, curbs or parked vehicles interfere with servicing?
  • Is overhead clearance sufficient throughout the lift cycle?
  • Does grade or slope change how the truck approaches the enclosure?
  • Can the property be serviced without repeatedly damaging gates or concrete?
The CorralWorks Difference

We don't just ask, “Will the dumpster fit?”

We ask whether the complete service operation works—the truck, the container, the driver, the approach, the gates, the grade, surrounding traffic and the physical property.

That is the difference between designing space for a container and designing a site that can actually be serviced.

Our Philosophy
Designed for the dumpster isn't enough. It needs to be designed for the truck.
What CorralWorks Does

Turning Waste-Industry Experience Into Better Property Decisions

CorralWorks applies practical operating experience to the places where waste collection, property design and operating costs intersect.

Before Construction

Review waste enclosure layouts and truck-access conditions before concrete, curbs and structures make expensive mistakes difficult to correct.

Existing Properties

Identify why missed pickups, damaged gates, difficult approaches, container placement or serviceability problems keep happening.

Waste Operations & Costs

Help commercial properties examine waste-service conditions, recycling contamination issues and waste bills with someone who understands how the service operates in the field.
